Over the past several years, my work with AI in education has taken me far beyond my own classroom. Between presentations, advisory roles, statewide and national leadership, and countless conversations with educators, I’ve had the chance to help people navigate one of the biggest shifts we’ve ever seen in education.

This fall, after a lot of reflection (and some nudging from colleagues, you know who you are :) ), I finally took the next step:

I officially formed Paula Johnson Tech LLC.

This new chapter brings together almost 30 years of experience in education, including special education, instructional coaching, leadership, technology integration, and AI literacy.  I am putting it all together in one place where I can support schools, districts, organizations, and educators who want to use AI in ways that are safe, equitable, and truly centered on people.

Because honestly?

This work has never been about the tools.

It has always been about people.

It’s about ethics, clarity, leadership, and designing systems that protect students while supporting teachers.

Now I get to offer that support through a formal consulting practice, and I’m really excited about it.

My Focus: Human-Centered, Ethical AI for Schools

AI is reshaping public education right now. Not someday; now.

Many districts are facing tough questions about policy, assessment, equity, teacher training, accessibility, and student data without the guidance they need.

My consulting work is designed to meet those needs with honesty, practicality, and a deep respect for educators.

So without further adieu, below you will find my services menu.

Why This Work Matters

AI is not a future consideration.  Instead, it is a present reality shaping every aspect of education. As schools navigate this shift, they deserve support that is thoughtful, grounded, and centered on students and teachers.

This work is deeply personal to me. My commitment has always been to protect equity, uphold teacher voice, and ensure technology serves humanity, not the other way around.

Paula Johnson Tech LLC is built on that foundation.
